Azure consultants London businesses trust for cloud migration, Azure Virtual Desktop, and fully managed Microsoft Azure cloud services, backed by over 20 years of experience.
Speedster IT is a team of Azure consultants London businesses have relied on for over 20 years, covering everything from Microsoft Azure cloud services and migration to Azure Virtual Desktop and hybrid infrastructure.
Businesses use Azure for different reasons, from basic networking and storage to virtual desktops, mobile and web apps, and full Internet of Things deployments. Azure works with a wide range of open source technologies and can be deployed as a hybrid cloud, or hosted within your own data centre.
As Azure consultants, we design, migrate and manage the full Azure stack, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Backup, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Networking and Microsoft Sentinel for security.
A huge network of private connections, hybrid databases, storage solutions and encryption, without moving your existing assets.
Microsoft was the first major cloud provider recognised by the EU's data protection authorities for committing to strict privacy standards.
Azure compute services carry a published SLA of up to 99.95%, with automatic OS and service patching and built-in load balancing.
Run websites, virtual machines, data management, analytics and identity services, scaled to only what you use.
Microsoft Azure cloud services London businesses depend on, from first migration through to ongoing management.

Yes. Speedster IT is a team of Azure consultants London businesses rely on for cloud migration, Azure Virtual Desktop, and fully managed Azure cloud services, backed by over 20 years of experience.
Speedster IT designs, deploys, and manages the full Microsoft Azure stack, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Backup, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Networking, and Microsoft Sentinel for security. We handle migration, ongoing management, and cost optimisation.
Azure costs depend on the number of users, workloads being migrated, and whether you need virtual desktops, hosted servers, or just cloud backup. Most London SMEs with 10 to 50 users spend GBP 500 to GBP 3,000 per month on Azure resources. Speedster IT provides a free Azure sizing assessment before any commitment.
Azure holds a wide range of compliance certifications, including ISO 27001 and GDPR-aligned controls. Combined with proper configuration (MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender), it offers enterprise-grade security accessible to businesses of any size.
Microsoft 365 covers productivity apps, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Office. Azure is the underlying cloud infrastructure platform for hosting servers, virtual desktops, databases, and custom applications. Many businesses use both: Microsoft 365 for day-to-day productivity and Azure for infrastructure.
A straightforward migration of 10 to 20 users from on-premises servers to Azure typically takes 2 to 6 weeks, including planning, testing, and cutover. More complex environments with legacy applications or large data volumes take longer. Speedster IT always runs a parallel period before decommissioning old infrastructure.
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a cloud-hosted Windows desktop service from Microsoft. Instead of running Windows locally on a physical PC, users connect over the internet to a fully managed desktop running in Microsoft's Azure data centres. The experience is identical to a local PC but can be accessed from any device, anywhere.
Yes. AVD scales from as few as 5 users upward. It is particularly cost-effective when employees use mixed devices (Windows, Mac, iPad), work remotely, or need secure access to a consistent desktop environment. There is no large upfront hardware cost, you pay per user per month.
AVD is Microsoft's native solution and is included within certain Microsoft 365 and Windows licences, reducing third-party licensing costs. Citrix and VMware offer more advanced session management for very large deployments. For most SMEs, AVD provides equivalent functionality at a lower total cost.
Microsoft recommends a minimum of 1.5 Mbps per user for a basic AVD session, and 5 to 10 Mbps for a comfortable experience with multimedia content. Most modern home and office broadband connections are more than sufficient. Latency matters more than raw speed, under 150ms round-trip is ideal.
Most Windows applications run on AVD without modification, including line-of-business software, accounting packages, and CAD tools. Some applications with hardware dependencies (USB dongles, specialist peripherals) require additional configuration. Speedster IT tests all critical applications before migration.
